It always excites me when the inbox pings and there’s a fresh release form DJ Sneak’s ‘I Am A House Gangster’ waiting for me. This bad boy from Russias leading underground house producer ‘Tripmastaz’ is what this label is all about, raw gritty pumpin beats. The original is led by a tight drum rhythm with a heavy distortion applied to pretty much everything else, a proper body jacker. I’ve no idea what the vocal is saying but it works!
The first remix from Toronto native Carlo Lio drives the track to another level and will appeal to those looking for a more energetic techno vibe, lovely stuff. Another Russian by the name of Bebadim is called in for the last remix here, and does a cracking job no less, offering a chuggy underground groove right the way through.
