Love Will Say No has been bubbling up nicely this past year or so, his unique inventive electronic production sits firmly in House music but really doesn’t stick to the usual tropes. Bringing together disparate styles and ideas in a way that always evocative, different and thoroughly musical and for that this guy is one of the best.
With Some Girls EP he brings together thick and textural rhythmic pieces like Monday Happens, something you could almost imagine in Levon Vincents bag, anthemic bassline bangers like But You Didnt Come, interludes and groovy workouts in She Changed Her Name.
The whole EP has the variety and journey you would expect in a concept LP but it works perfectly in this smaller form.
