Close the polls, its over guys, album of the year goes to Hunee. This thing is the album format used to its fullest and its a lovely thing to see. Hunees sound is full of quirky inventiveness, off kilter sounds and catchy melodys which all add up to a really full and interesting experience. There is as much a mix of tracks that will work dancefloors as there are tracks that wont and as a whole this thing really works.
This record is probably the most convincing use of the album format I have heard in a long time, a format which can often send electronic artists into a spiral of panic. Not Hunee…Hunee is the man!
