New record on Heist! Always big news as far as we are concerned. This one is a heavy joint straight out of Sligo Ireland, and as it turns out the guys behind this record – Brame & Hamo are some seriously talented guys. Heist’s whole history has been a string of big releases so it’s heady company the boys join but this record fits right in. These guys are new on the scene and run a Splendour and Squalor podcast series that is a couple of show in. Check it out.
This EP is a solid but smooth mixture of well tooled drums alongside craftily cut soul samples and few more eclectic finds. As usual with Heist records we get that lovely mix of deep hard grooves with uplifting soulful feelings. Such a nice mix when you lose yourself in the thick organ tones.
