No Dough Music

FIVE FOR THE WEEKEND

The best things in life are free

The Best things in Life are Free

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of stuff just given away, great music...that would be worth getting your wallet out for. People giving away their work nowadays is a promotion tactic, but it's a good one because the reason it works so well is that it offers something really special and of value for people to enjoy! And the last few weeks has seen a few giveaways of EPIC proportions that I thought you guys should not miss!

Jeremy Glenn - New Life (Perseus 'Summer of 83' Remix) by future classic

The Perseus mix of Jeremy Glenns is one such giveaway, when I first saw the download button on soundcloud I thought there had been some terrible mistake, so I downloaded it and quickly dissapeared into the distance chuckling with glee. This track is the embodiment of all that is optimistic and melodic, a supernova of summer and all for the price of a smile. The original mix of this has a very retro video which suprised me, as this ain't a retro song, this is modern and very good.

I Need A Dollar (KRL's GBPmix) by KRL (Wolf Music)

I had the pleasure of mastering this record for the boys at Wolfmusic, and I loved it from the start. My friends told me the original was pretty big, but I didnt know of it and KRL's incredbile house take on it blew me away. KRL & the super hot Wolfmusic crew are giving this stunner away in conjunction with one of my favorite bloggers feelmybicep...I take that as proof that maybe now...this Aloe Blacc guy does actually have a dollar or two.

DOWNLOAD FROM HERE

I had to mention this, haha I am so proud of this pack. In the player is an incredible demo track put together by a guy called Louche, check it out. But this isn't a mindless plug. This week I made available a 150 meg pack of samples from this pack, thats pretty substantial on it's own as a tool. So go, grab them, enjoy on me!

DIKSO005 - B2 - Andi de Luxe - Boobsie Collins [Snippet] by Dikso Records

Dikso are powering ahead as usual with their new EP, and I have heard rumours this little bit of vinyl-only golddust will be going digital in the near future. This track is the first one in a long time by Andi de luxe, deep and relentless this record is so strong it makes popeye blush. Unfortunately this one isn't available to DL for free, but I thought I'd feature it as over at the Dikso blog there is a WHOLE series of DiksoEDITS for you to download - http://dikso.blogspot.com/

Tino - Discofobia (Rayko edit) Free Download! by Rayko

The veritable edit machine Rayko is giving stuff away again, now for me Rayko can be a bit hit and miss most of the time, this one has an appeal that makes you think back to happier and simpler times!

5 OF THE BEST

5 of the best

The other week Dan Doran joined us in the studio, whilst we were working on a few new bits and pieces for you all we spent some time picking out some tracks we wanted to share.

Crazy p - lie Lost

The thing I love the most about this warm edged little disco groover, is not the jacked up piano of which i am a huge fan, but it's the vocal. it's just pure smooth, unadulterated 2020 perfection.

Daniel Wang - Like some dream I cant stop dreaming

I've heard this out so many times over the years and it never ever gets old, timeless and fit for another few years in rotation.

Kaine - love saves the day

Ok this is the 2nd track that's heavy on the joanna's in this blog. I admit I am a sucker for a great piano track and this is one. Optimistic music always brings a smile to your face. more please.

Bottin - No static

Ill freely admit, for me Bottin has been a bit hit and miss, and more often than not its been a miss, but this, this is a bullseye, top notch! and enough to keep me interested in this guy.

James Yull - This sweet love (prins thomas sneaky edit)

A great ending to many a great night, for me Prins sneaky edit finishes things off quite well, chilled and achingly beautiful.
