Well well well, we’ve reached that time again where one of our favourite labels AUS, drop yet another thumping piece of electronic goodness. Tom Demac is called to the frontline for this his 3rd EP on the label, and what a blinder it is.

In true Tom style he spoils us with 4 tracks that cut through the noise of this fickle industry, putting his analogue gear to the test and delivering solid variety throughout. For me this EP shows 2 sides to Tom’s personality of musical prowess, the lead track ‘Smoke Stained Ivories’ and closing track ‘Becketts Racket’ both comprise of carefully layered arrangements and melodies that carry emotion in abundance, reinforced with thumping drums and gritty percussion. Then you’ve got ‘RIP Vogel’ and ‘Guilty Measure’ which take on a more direct tech driven route but equally as raw and interesting in nature.

On the whole an excellent package that will no doubt hit the spot for many. Grab yours from Juno here.
